Cell Phone Legislation
There were two Bills at the Ohio House of Representatives at the time of the girls' deaths.  House Bill 280 and House Bill 281 restrict the usage of a cell phone in a moving motor vehicle to a hands free phone only.  The only exception would be to report an emergency.  These bills have been allowed to die at the house, however, the Bills' sponsor, Representative Catherine Barrett has submitted new proposed legislation to the 126th General Assembly.  The new bills will be named after Kim and Kathy.
